ID3 update

If anyone has any trouble downloading any songs lately, it's because I've been reuploading all of them to fix a number of ID3v2 issues. There were a few tags that were inconsistent with out conventions, but most importantly since I have a Mac now I noticed that without the "album artist" field filled in, the songs won't group together under a single album. So I made sure to update all of them and am in the process of re-uploading.

Should be done sometime later this morning, followed by a new song post!

BACK IN ACTION

So we had a bit of a dry spell there for awhile, and it was PARTLY our fault, BUT NOT ENTIRELY. Fact of the matter is submissions had dried up for awhile there...at least passable ones. Anyway we've been getting a steady flow again of late, so we're back to work for now.

REMEMBER PEOPLE. TELL YOUR FRIENDS, RECOMMEND RE-RELEASES OF OLDER MIXES, ACTUALLY FIX UP AND RE-SUBMIT WHEN WE ASK YOU TOOOOO. We can only post music when we HAVE music to POST. C'mon now!

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

So I'm sure everyone has noticed we haven't had an update in awhile, and I apologize. A lot of stuff has been going on. My computer, which had all the submissions on it, was struck by a tragedy in the form of a power outage that fried in the motherboard. Immediately after I moved to Orlando and have been going to school full-time at Full Sail, so I haven't had much time to get stuff today. FINALLY now that I'm on break I can get stuff rolling again. I'm shifting around the queue to work with what I have and what I can work with and once Suzu gets on later I'm sure we'll be shifting it around some more. But don't worry, things SHOULD BE back to normal now...at least posting wise.

Which basically means expect a ton of new songs in the next few days.

Technicolor Diffi-cultists, Note on Temporary File Hosting

Wondering why there's no new songs lately? So are we! Actually, we know exactly why, but it's a long story. The short story, is Rama's computer, which had all the submissions on it, is dead and stuff. And a lot of people submitted using temporary file hosting (very bad idea). So everyone who submitted using Rapidshare or other services, or whose files are no longer available, is going to have to resubmit since the files were all lost. You can check the queue here, and if your song appears in red or is otherwise missing altogether (be sure to check the stuff at the bottom also), please get in touch with us somehow (email submissions@remix.thasauce.net or PM me on the forums).

So for future reference people, PLEASE do not submit with temporary hosting services (ie: Rapidshare, PutFile, etc) as your songs WILL expire and we won't be able to download them again in case something like this happens.
